? Mr. Murthy, is a son of a school teacher. ? Acquired a degree in electrical engineering from Mysore university and later studied Computer Science at IIT, Kanpur, India.
Career
• First job position:- Chief Systems Programmer at IIT Ahmedabad. • After IIT, he started a company named ‘SOFTONICS’ in 1976. • When his company failed he joined Patni Computer Systems in Pune. • In Pune, he met his wife Sudha Murthy.
In 1981, he dreamt of forming his own company along with six friends. He didn’t have any seed money but luckily his wife Sudha had saved Rs. 10,000. This was his first big break.
MR.MURTHY’S wife SUDHA is an Indian social worker and accomplished author. She is known for her philanthropic work through the Infosys foundation. They have two children- Rohan and Akshata. Rohan is married to Venu Shrivasan’s (of Tvs motors) daughter Laxmi Venu. Akshata is married to Rishi Sunak.
