y Human Management is that part of management
which is concerned with increasing the effectiveness of human performance in any organization
Aims and objectives
y Finding the right person for the right job y Optimum utilization of each member of the staff for
achievement of the organizational goals. y Creation of harmonious relationship amongst the members of the organization. y Maximum development of each employee under the existing organizational frame work.
Importance of efficient personal management in co-operatives
y Co-operatives are users¶ organization and to satisfy
the needs of members ,efficient service is necessary .This can be provided by efficient personnel. y To thrive in competition ,co-operatives need to improve the quality of their personnel. y Co-operatives needs to follow efficient personnel policies to absorb the best talent available.
National policy in personal management of cooperatives
y Man power planning- include drawing up of
organizational chart, staffing pattern ,standardization of job titles ,job analysis ,job description, qualification and experience for different job assessment of present and future requirement of man power. y Rational requirement policy-Selection of candidates should be objective and should be done by a committee in order to inspire confidence in the candidates to ensure fair selection
y Induction
Programme - This induction programme is absolutely necessary for the new recruits. y Job placement and job training ±The job training shall be compulsory for all the employee and form parts of the bye laws and service condition. y Wage policy ± Competitive salary scales depending upon the size and ability of the society should be ensured to all the employees.
Man Power planning
y It is defined as the process (including forecasting
,developing implementing and controlling ) by which a firm ensures that it has the right number of people and right kind of people at the right place at the right time doing things for which they are economically most useful.
Pre requisites for effective man-power Planning
y Man ±power planning will be effective when the business objectives

are clearly defined ,systematic and up-to date manpower inventory is maintained Business objectives- The business plan are prepared to spell out business objectives in term of profitability ,production ,sales and development of human resources. Planning period -The planning period depends on the nature of the business and the social ,economic and political environment. Man power standards -Optimum man ±power standards may be determined adopted must be feasible and acceptable to the people concerned. Organization ±For man-power planning Top level executives are responsible for man ±power planning as it is one of the key to success of the enterprise.
Recruitment and selection
y Recruitment
is the process of exhausting all the source for finding prospective employees. y Two important ingredients of sound recruitment policy in co-operative sector. The system involved should be in keeping with the democratic and autonomous character of cooperative institution. The recruitment is done purely on objective consideration
Mode of recruitment
y Direct recruitment y Deputation from Govt or from sister co-operative. y Promotion y Recruitment sources
