Pranab's Budget

The 2011-2012 budget is a please-all budget. As Sinha rightly pointed out this budget is "Paint a taint". The boiling issue of inflation is not being addressed. IT slab has been raised by 2 lakhs.The price increase that is going to come because of the service tax and increase in GST will nullify the gain got from the increase in IT slab so effectively there is no hike.Jus a camouflage. People expected FDI in retail but that is not present in the budget. The reduction in the Fiscal deficit is definitely a good news. There isn't much to cheer or much to feel in this budget.

Do you know that China spends 6 times more and Thailand spends 10 time more than what we spend for our healthcare. See the tax is collected to spend on the public and not to retain it. Even very poor nations are spending more than what we spend for healthcare.
 
India is forgetting that it is an agri country...if Agriculture if kept on the back stage by policymakers, india will feel the pinch of it sooner or later...grand lobbying by industrialists help to get the policies in their favour...but money cannot be eaten, it is rice, wheat, vegetables that need to be eaten....
