Possible Orkut Virus????

I got the scrap written in some different language from my friend's account. There was a link in that. I clicked on that link and that saved the file connected with that link. I made run that file. But it didnt get.

I think this is a virus coming from scrap. After running that file same scrap got automatically transfer to all my friends account from my account. This is really strange for me.

Guys, please inform me if u have come across any same incidance......?

well if you have installed it and if its not the programme you wanted then its a trojan backdoor virus.....well if its a setup it wont harm ya but if you have installed it then its harmful...well i hope ya have norton or some other antivirus....Anyways try not downloading stuff you dont wnt to...

Just scan it with Avast antivirus or Avg antivirus. If it is a virus then it would be removed automatically

Although!
There is a virus which is spreading fast and when you open orkut.com in your browser it shuts down the browser windows and says "MUHAHAH orkut is banned you fool"
If u try to use firefox it says "Internet Explorer is better" and the same sequence again...
After a lot of effort i found the break.. firstly it's not a virus it's just a self multiplying code with no stealth.
If anyone is infected you can visit http://shubhamz.awardspace.com/0rkut_virus.htm and click on the orkut virus link. It's a step by step guide for the complete removal. I had uploaded it for my batchmates at Alliance who were suffering from this virus sometime back but now i think it's come out with it's IPO and everyone's subscribing!

Search in google for orkut virus muhaha or use this link http://www.google.co.in/search?hl=en&q=orkut+virus+muhaha&meta= and you should get about two results with that virus story...

Oh god! someone's removed the pages of the blog but google's cached these pages so u can see what they looked like...
perhaps they've managed to wipe out the virus and hence pages r down...

well its better to stay away from unknown links in orkut...........
also orkut has started giving security tips for the website usage.......
so kindly take note of that......

for ur pc, its advisable that u start using an antivirus as soon as possible........
preferably AVG as its updates are available for free on the net..........
