Political Batting – a la Dravid’

With electoral bells chiming and some of the results pouring, it only takes a lot of ‘Game’ experience to ‘sense the mood’. Some of political parties and Netas are beefing up their machinery to ‘bat like Dravid’ in these ‘overs’. And of course bowling side is also deeply analyzing about who would be bowling the next. However, much interest lies in what the ‘reporting community’ is doing over these ‘overs’ and ‘Game’ of course is looking for the ‘Dravids’ here rather than on the political front. This is because it is here, that the ‘agenda’ is determined which guides much of the policy action, although one can never be too sure given the cacophonous democracy. However, the ones who carry the agenda of ‘Game’ would surely come out victorious for sure, even if the Journos themselves may be having Butterflies in stomach about it. It also is difficult to be steady here, since all sorts of machinations are involved including statistics, reasoning, persona play besides money and Goonda elements to influence. Now that we have had some skeletons amongst Journos themselves falling out of political closets, it’s time that the Journos be far more circumspect about the Black-sheeps within rather than living in their own make-believe world. Of course more such actions & activism is desirable here because ‘corrupting the (public) agenda’ is more vicious then a few stand-alone cases of malafide by either the involved Journos or the Netas. Some conscious News media seems to be rising on the back of may be political or journalistic competition or whatever else, but that is much Welcome. It must however be said that there needs to be focus on bank defaulters and other similar hidden money machinations of the Neta-Business-Goonda nexus which may also include elements of the commercial news media as well and is not much spoken about. It however remains an irony that the bold media also remains muted to note that the Netas in government who speak on Bhakti coolly manage to avoid speaking on issues like Bank Defaulters and 'favoured contracts for favorite contractors' etc. and are allowed to get away while the ground reporters are almost always tracking ‘other Netas’ for such issues. It is to be noted that even the ‘Baatuni Ministers’ are allowed to skip these ‘public issues’ while allowing them to utter garbage on many other areas for which detailed coverage and analysis is dutifully shepherded for public consumption as if that forms departmental reporting for these ministers, and this still remains a running news media practice.
While one may tempted to dismiss the results of by-polls which held little meaning in the face rather stable regime, however it is to note that it dispels myths propagated around sustenance of the ‘now opposition’ governments and Netas, including ability to ‘hang together’ amicably, that is. While the victorious may want to tom-tom this as ‘turning of the tide’ however this can’t be deciphered as of yet from the results (though readers of these articles have some forecasts already and Game sticks to the same). There may be political souls looking to avoid these forecasts coming true or salivating at them basis political affiliations, however those ignoring these forecasts would soon be grudging at them. It is said that "some make things happen, some others watch them happen, while a set simply wonders ‘what happened (after it has happened)’ ". The ‘Game’ is all about being able to predict, "how it all happens" and the hypothesis has been returning a 'prediction success' although the survey campaign mechanism is still being shepharded by some of the political souls. Of course then we still need to continue to do with the so called ‘Ram-Bhakts’ as well as ‘Caste/Dalit Champs’ (in the commercial news media created / formulated/hyped perceptions rather than public perception) as they are not going to vanish suddenly. Some of the Journos (the 'what happened' variety) may still continue along the old lines since changing with time is no longer feasible for them probably on account of old age or old schools tricks being now embeded deep in psyche. This is even as many of them are already exposed thoroughly along with the Neta-nexus, but for certain Panda-Maulavi elements whose belief in the power of these journos as well as their own power to mesmerize public runs deep even if it has no takers now, except for some gullible Netas and a few idiots may be. Now all this may not just be about some select parties/Netas, but across party-line and readers of these articles in Management Paradise would do well if they can recall Bakri-bhakti episodes along with the obvious Netas to do some justice to ‘Yours truly’ and other dispassionate writers on Social Media. But now we do have probable rise of a wiser lot to compete with the old school variety alongside. The forecast of the Game stands as it was. Let the ‘Game’ evolve…
