In today's world, an empty pocket is recipe for disaster. But giving kids pocket money, does it improve the child's entrepreneurial spirit or cultivate a culture of dependency in him/her?
Pocket money is indeed a bane with reference to present scenario.Since both parents work they can easily afford to satisfy their children's demands and rather they want to do their best for the happiness of their children.I don't deny the present parents views but at the same time parents should make their children realize the cost they paid for that small happiness and how much hard work they put in.In older times there was only one earning member in the family so shopping or major spending was only on some particular occasion. Also people use to think 5 times before spending. Now their is no occasion or reason required to spend.Everyday is a occasion.
Parents substantially vary in their viewpoints of whether or not to provide pocket money to kids. Some mother and father believe that pocket money should never be given considering that they are going to loss command on the kids and kids may go to the wrong path. But some are in favor of giving pocket money to their kids because kids go into the practice of planned earnings and expenses.
