Description
• The Jai Jawan Jai Kisan Agriculture SOCIETY is being registered with the Government of Bihar state in India, and its webpage is being prepared.
• The Mission of this SOCIETY would be to ensure an increase in the number of SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) in the Agriculture Sector – and in the Fruit and Vegetable Processing Sector in the fertile plains of Bihar state in India.
• This SOCIETY would be entirely staffed by ex–servicemen of the Indian Army from Bihar state.
• The USP (Unique Service Proposition) of the SOCIETY would be HONEST, EFFECTIVE and ACCOUNTABLE utilisation of large amounts of funds procured from various sources of funds from across the world.
• All such SMEs would be owned by the residents of the fertile plains of Bihar state; and the SOCIETY would give genuine agribusinesses in the fertile plains of Bihar state, all possible assistance in the process.
• This would include giving additional funding support and management advice from specialists in agribusiness management at their Ground locations.
• Elaborate plans to ensure the existence of around 95 such agribusinesses in Madhubani and nearby districts in the initial 06 years have been prepared.
• It has been ASSUMED that funds of around Rs 100 Crore (INR 1000 Million or USD 20 Million) would be available with the SOCIETY for this purpose.
• It is realised that such a large amount of funds would not become available to the SOCIETY in a hurry.
• So, the SOCIETY plans to operate a Profit – making effort in the Agriculture Sector – and in the Fruit and Vegetable Processing Sector in Madhubani district in Bihar on a smaller scale – on funds of around Rs 5 to 10 Crore (USD 1 to 2 Million) procured from Venture Capital.
• The dilemma facing the SOCIETY is, what should be the specific effort, and from where to procure the funds immediately required for the effort?

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY This single page Summary broadly describes the plans of the Jai Jawan Jai Kisan Agriculture SOCIETY (the SOCIETY); registered with the Government of Bihar for raising the Food Security situation of India through the fertile plains of Bihar state in India. The Organisation – composed entirely of ex–servicemen of the Indian Army; has been registered with the Government of Bihar under the SOCIETIES Registration Act, 1860 in Patna. The USP (Unique Service Proposition) of the SOCIETY would be HONEST (and ACCOUNTABLE) management of large amounts of funds procured from various sources across the world. The SOCIETY would specifically aim to ensure a remarkable increase the number of SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) in the Agricultural sector – and in the sectors of Fruit and Vegetable Processing – in the fertile plains of Bihar. Effective activity in this direction is certain to significantly strengthen the Food Security situation of India. The SOCIETY would be sustained on the strength of its genuine activity and visible benefits of raising the domestic agricultural production of India from various sources of funds across the world. The INSPIRATION behind this SOCIETY is HH Sri Sri Ravi Shankar; Founder of the ‘Art of Living’ (AOL) and all credit for the success of this effort would be unconditionally submitted to Him. The IDEA is that the SOCIETY would give GRANTS to the agribusinesses raised by the residents of Bihar registered with it in addition to the subsidies given by the Government of Bihar after proper ground verifications. The SOCIETY would leverage the effectiveness of Courses of the AOL (proven in many states in India and in more than 150 countries across the world) to inspire the residents of Bihar to raise their own SMEs in the Agricultural sector – and in the sectors of Fruit and Vegetable Processing – in their areas. Elaborate plans to achieve the intention of the SOCIETY have been prepared on the ASSUMPTION that a sum of Rs 100 Crore (INR 1000 Million or USD 20 Million) would be available for the activity of the SOCIETY. The details are given in www.jjjkasociety.org
