PROSTAVITAL 30 Capsules
Vitamin E-The compound has a dramatic effect on the androgen receptor, a protein in the body that is vital to the growth of prostate cells, including its cancer cells. Researchers found that vitamin E blocks the assembly of the protein, exposing a new vulnerability in a protein that is central to the development of the disease. Vitamin C-Vitamin C would almost certainly be of benefit to the enlarged prostate. At the very least, infection would be avoided. Additionally, men with enlarged prostates report that vitamin C's modest diuretic effect makes urination easier.

Vitamin B6 -Vitamin B6 is a water-soluble vitamin that is in many enzymes related to protein metabolism. In particular, Vitamin B6, along with zinc, regulates the enzyme that converts testosterone to DHT (dihydrotestosterone), which is considered harmful. Consequently, B6 can help control inflammation of the bladder. Vitamin B6, also along with zinc, helps the body resist a hormonal action that can cause swelling of the prostate. Vitamin B6 also helps negate the adverse effects when prolactin levels increase, especially in men 40 and older. Too much prolactin can contribute to the development of prostate tumors.

Zinc-Deficiency has been linked to BPH, prostatitis, and even prostate cancer. Studies with zinc and men with enlarged prostates showed a reduction in the size of the prostate and a decrease in symptoms when men where given zinc. Zinc may help inhibit the activity of 5-alpha-reductase Chromium-The main function of chromium deals with glucose metabolism. This is important for prostate health because research suggests that a higher risk of prostate disorders is associated with high blood sugar levels. Saw Palmetto:Saw palmetto contains substances that appear to curb prostate cell growth. An extract of a low-growing berry, it also has been shown to help increase testosterone levels. Studies in Europe attest that it helps protect against urinary and prostate infections. When compared with a placebo, saw palmetto improved urinary tract symptoms, including nighttime urination, by about 25%. Men taking saw palmetto were twice as likely to report improvements as those taking a placebo. In Germany, other studies support the effectiveness of saw palmetto Pygeum africanum-Pygeum africanum has been commonly used to treat prostate problems in countries all over the world, including, of course, America.. It contains several compounds that have an effect on the inflammation and swelling 30 ( 3 )

of the prostate. Pygeum also has been found to block the entry of cholesterol into the prostate. Pygeum can help reduce existing inflammation as well as prevent inflammation from starting

Nettle- Nettles appear to work by reducing swelling of the prostate. Its effectiveness is increased by combining it with saw palmetto and pygeum africanum. Pumpkin seed oil- Scientists discovered that this oil contains high level of the active ingredient: delta-7-sterine., This steroid specifically compete with dihydrotestosterone dangerous for the receptors in prostate. So, capsules neutralises it's undesirable action on the gland.

Lycopene-Lycopene is a powerful antioxidant found in tomatoes and pink grapefruit. Like the better-known supplement beta-carotene, lycopene belongs to the family of chemicals known as carotenoids. As an antioxidant, it is about twice as powerful as beta-carotene. There is some evidence that a diet high in lycopene may reduce the risk of cancer of the prostate as well as other cancers. Lycopene may also help prevent macular degeneration and cataracts.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Saw palmetto is well tolerated. Human studies have shown that one man reported gastric side-effects when taking this herb. Pregnant and lactating women should consult with a qualified medical health professional before taking saw palmetto. Saw palmetto is not suitable for use by children.
