Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics (SINP), Kolkata announced admission for Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) program in Experimental Physics and Biophysical Sciences starting from March 2016.
Eligibility Criteria for SINP, Kolkata:
# Candidates with NET-JRF (not Lectureship) qualification only are eligible for Ph.D program.
# For Ph.D in Experimental Physics: Candidate should have masters’ degree in Physics.
# For Ph.D in Biophysical Sciences: Candidate should have masters’ degree in Physics or Chemistry with Life Sciences at 10+2 level or masters’ degree in Life Sciences with Chemistry and Mathematics at 10+2 level.
# For Ph.D in Experimental Physics: Candidate should have masters’ degree in Physics.
# For Ph.D in Biophysical Sciences: Candidate should have masters’ degree in Physics or Chemistry with Life Sciences at 10+2 level or masters’ degree in Life Sciences with Chemistry and Mathematics at 10+2 level.
Selection Procedure for SINP, Kolkata:
# A first screening will be done on the basis of past academic records (HS or equivalent, B.Sc. and M.Sc.) and NET rank.
# The short-listed candidates will be called for an interview process to be held at SINP during middle of February 2016 for the final selection.
