Gender neutral parenting has both pros and cons...
Pros:
*They have ability to have more interests and hobbies
*They can be truly who they are regardless of any constriction
*Gender neutral kids are more creative
*It will increase your child's awareness of identity and self-esteem.

What do yoy think are the cons?

I support the idea of gender neutral parenting. Creating a safe and independent environment for a child to explore his likes and dislikes without any restrictions, the thought sounds good in itself.

However some cons are -
1. The child might get confused in school and other social events. He/she might start feeling that he does not belong.
2. Sometimes parents start forcing their thoughts on the kids. I think it's okay if a boy naturally likes video games and a girl naturally likes to play with dolls.
3. It is not easy for parents. It requires forethought and training your own mind to stop using pronouns like “he, she, her, and him” or to be mindful that their toys are not gendered. I think most parents would say it was worth the trouble but it is definitely a challenging choice.
