I don't know whether it will help or not... Every father have different expectations from his child. Some want to be engg. , doctor, actor, player, etc... Here i am writing something which doesn't relate with any of the profession. Its only day to day thing which can make your father happy...
Some are:
1) Clean the house
2) Study hard and be regular
3) If you want something then take his permission
4) Don't fight with your siblings
5) Obey your father
6) And don't forget to say that he is the best dad

The reality of being a father does not often dawn on men until they are holding their new baby in their arms. Finding good fathering roles can be difficult. The media often does not generally paint a realistic picture of the 'modern dad', with past generations tending to be fairly 'hands off' babies until they can have a rumble on the bed, or kick a football. It can be difficult for men to find realistic benchmarks today, unless they have good friends who are also fathers, who they feel they can share their experiences with. Some men don't feel comfortable discussing personal issues with friends or relatives. This can leave them with limited support or helpful information, during this dramatic change in their lives.

I don't remember a time when I did not live with my dad. I remember after kindergarten had started, he walked me to school everyday. He was the room parent. One day, I wanted to walk to school by myself. I remember him sneaking behind me, hiding behind trash cans in alleys, just to make sure I got there ok, and to make me think I had done it all by myself.
I can only say that father just need respect from their son or daughter.By becoming a successful person in ur life,You can make them happy.

My dad is sometimes strict with me, but most of the time, really friendly with me!!
