GUYS AS WE KNW THAT THIS TIME CAT GOES ONLINE PROMETRICS HANDLED ALL THE OPERATIONS FOR ITS NEW ONLINE FORMAT BUT THIS FORMAT FAILED DRASTICALLY AND STUDENTS ALSO NOT FIND IT USER FRIENDLY AS MOST OF THE CAT SPIRANTS ARE DONE WITH THEIR CAT PAPERS WHTS UR OPINIONS ABOUT GIVE UR OPINIONS WHAT SHUD BE THE FINAL FORMAT FOR THE CAT AND WHY.............:fencing::fencing::fencing::fencing::fencing:
 
ACC TO ME ONLINE FORMAT IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN PAPER PENCIL FORMAT ITS DUE THE THE INEFFIECIENCY OF THE PROMERTRICS THAT THEIR IST ASSIGMENT WITH THE IIMS FAILED DRASTICAALY THEY WERE OVERCONFIDENT ABOUR IT AND RESULT IS IN FRN OF URS NOW NOTHING CAN BE DONE HOWEVER IIMS PLANNING TO TAKE PAPER AGAIN............
 
paper pencil is good:SugarwareZ-254: because that can be sharpened specifically and we can refill the nib each timeas per iour wish
 
I too agree with the online format of CAT. What happened actually was the problem with the servers and overlooking some minute points like convenience of the test takers. Given a year time, IIM's will show us why they are called Management Paradise!!
 
Sure prometric did a bad job this time...but if we really want to assert ourselves as an IT power and get our b-school enrollment process on a par with foreign universities, we need to conduct an examination which will be easily accessible all aspiring candidates. It is with this vision(or as they stated it) that prometric defended their online mode of examination.
But big words alone don't an impact and I sincerely hope that they get their together and better next year. This year, all we can hope for is a fair result for all.
 
i think the paper pencil format is way better for a country like india that is at the moment highly incapable of successfully handling an online format of the exam
technical glitches errors server problem etc etc.....
they definitely scare a student and may also be the reason for bad performance of the student
 
CAT should be paper-pencil because this exam requires more to workout ( Quantitative Techniques) with pencil in rough pages. This becomes tough in online format of the test.
 
Online form is much better but provided that the server and the computer is free from errors. It saves time too.
 
No doubt ONLINE format for conducting CAT entrance examination is better as compared to traditional format of conducting CAT.

online cat had to be implemented sooner or later, it was tough to maintain such a big infrastructure year on year. so i feel this is the initial glitch wich will be taken care of in the years to come. ths is the first tym. let it go ahead plz. . .
 
Cat turning Online was inevitable.
Not just because it is catching up with major International B schools with regards to standards, but also that it makes more economic sense.
The fact that a lot of students had to be victims of this transformation is disappointing as a student personally.

Paper format better anyday............i almost slept giving my CAT....According to studies if u watch T.V or Computer screen for a longer duration u tend nap.....also difficult reading rc's
 
paper n pencil format is better ... since the cat aspirant get the same set of question compare to those that of the online test....!!!
