One nation One Board

Kapil sibal recently introduced a proposal to make one board across the nation.Currently we have around 38 boards in India but still don't have quality education.I'm not relating quality to the number of boards but inspite of so many no.of streams we are not able to bring-up a quality system.Euro nations are trying to bring-up a system where students of the allied nations can go anywhere among those 40 nations for their studies. This will give a great exposure for the ppl where they get a chance to learn about the culture, dialect and languages of their neighbouring countries. If 40 nations can do so why not we can unite as a single nation.Currently,we are handicapped by the transfer from one state to another. We have to look for schools in the same stream and we have to also look at the accessibility and affordability.Once we bring a single board system,we don't have to worry about the board/stream.

Yes it is a good idea..
as we have many education body but only few are doing well and rest just wasting our valuable money and india's intelectual power that could be used if proper and quality education is provided...

i think so its a good idea which will also improve our unity as a nation, but the only problem is with history but it can be solved just by giving liberty to make their own history subject till class 9th in 10 std in most of the boards we have world history so it doesnt going to make any difference.

Actually the levels of all the boards of India are very different, except for two national boards. So before making a single board, we have to make sure that all the boards are equal. At current only some of the boards will be merged under one board. And all the other boards will be made to reach a certain level where they can come under single board. I feel that system of one board in pan India is very nice idea. It will bring more competence among the students as well as more uniformity across education. Kapil Sibal is the first person to be looking at education at school levels, that's the reason i praise him.
Also, if a person gets 96 marks in maths and other gets 99 marks in maths, how can we conclude that the person who got 99 marks is intelligent than one who got 96. Therefore he has also introduced grading system at 10th level. Which is a very good effort taken by him to reduce the burden.
One more thing that, therewill be optional board exam system. Students who want to study in same school after their 10th standard may not give the boards, while others will have to.
I think this is one of the major reforms in Indian Education System, which is ultimately for benefit of students.
Lets not forget that there are other issues as well which need to be considered before coming to conclusion. Firstly, the focus will be on single board exams in 12th standard, which will increase the mental pressure on students. Secondly, what time would it take to merge all the boards under one board. Thirdly, what efforts will be taken by the govt. to equalize the levels of state boards with national board. And many more....

yes i think the idea makes sense...but how feasible is it, considering the geographical diversity of the country & the cultural differences
