Delhi Police sends notice to Shashi Tharoor, He said, "Whatever was necessary was done speedily. Bassi said, "I received an email with torture allegations. The allegations were looked into but nothing of this sort was reported. We believe in policing which is governed by rule of law. We have no place for strong arm tactics."
The Leela Palace Hotel has released a statement, saying, "We wish to clarify that all 230 surveillance cameras on the hotel premises, including all 10 cameras on the floor of the incident, were fully operational and the entire CCTV footage covering the complete period of Ms. Tharoor's stay was handed over to the police."
