Greetings from Philadelphia,
It’s great to be back after a whirlwind and enjoyable trip to Europe over the past two weeks. It was wonderful to connect with so many prospective students and alumni in London, Paris and Frankfurt. The discussions about our new curriculum, alumni and the overall Wharton MBA experience were incredibly thoughtful and engaging; they truly set the tone as we dive into the travel season.
Over the coming weeks, the Admissions team will continue to travel around the globe, visiting over 40 cities worldwide. We are gearing up next for our events throughout both Southeast Asia and South America. While in Southeast Asia, we will be at the upcoming Global Alumni Forum in Jakarta. I would highly encourage those in the region to join us at the Forum; it is an amazing experience and opportunity to connect with hundreds of alumni, business and political leaders from the region, and faculty and colleagues from across Wharton.
I will be headed to San Francisco mid-June and look forward to seeing many of you out west. I am excited to host our first LGBT Reception right before our General Presentation; both events will be held at our fantastic new Wharton West campus. I’ll also be kicking off our Industry Panel series, hosting our west coast Entrepreneurship Panel as well.
Our events geared toward affinity or industry networks are a great opportunity for prospective students to learn more about specific resources at Wharton and connect with alumni to learn from their personal experiences and stories. We will be hosting focused events, both off and on campus, for women, students of color, as well as additional Industry Panels on Energy, Health Care, Real Estate, and Entrepreneurship.
