No Campaigning for Elections?

This mite sound weird!!!!Most of the parties have drumbeaten about their acheivements,doesn't matter if they really didn't achieve it.Millions have been poured into the parties' coffers for this campaigning.This leaves the independant candidates at a huge gap.This gives the parties an unfair advantage.Why should millions be poured for mere voices?There are better ways to spend it.Even some of the independant candidates trying to make them more famous are pouring a few thousand for this campaigning.This is waste of money.Even ppl are not showing interest to learn about the independants and their motto during elections.Ppl are not aware of the party symbol of some of the independants.There can some real service-oriented candidates who are at disadvantage.

Should we need this campaigning.Instead there must be a rule to stop this campaign.we should "Stop talking and start doing"

One very out-of-the bos option could be that everyone contests as 'independents' and the voters go and vote for two categories - "Prime Minister" (which has limited candidates based on experience and merit) and "LS Member" (which is all the candidates from our constituency).
Then the winners have to form the government. Thus PM Manmohan Singh might get the wily, but strategic Advani as Home Minister, and Chidambram as Fin Min will get Maya as Minister for Women and Child Development.. and everyone will have to function propoerly (without corrpution) because they cant trust the other co-minister to not report them to the law.. thus eveyone will toe the line and the citizens will get the best of brains to run the govt. ...

every political party is pnly doing things to get re-elected.. I have never seen a party that would really care about their people.. It is sad, but I dont thnk we can do anything about it....

Since politics have become a product - the marketing campaigns have also become necessary. But the truth is, if a human is really good and loving, automatically he will be the choice by the people around him/her to be a Leader and hence it will result in him/her becoming a winner. So, Do what you have to do. The people will take you to the throne automatically.

Buddy i think govt should take the campaigning in there hands each party is allowed a specific time to promote themselves, and that govt can promote through any means of media giving each of them equal exposures.
