The Indian markets opened flat but picked up positive momentum during the last two hours of trade to end on a very strong note. All the major sectoral indices ended on a very strong note, Oil and gas and Reality counters being the highest gainers. The Sensex closed at 17,774 up 200 points after trading in the range of 17,794-17,571. Nifty was at 5,333 up 64 points after
making an intraday high of 5,339.
