The Sensex ended at 17,474 down 12 points after trading in the range of 17,590 - 17,425. The Nifty ended at 5,222 down 4 points after touching an intraday low of 5,201. Sell-off was seen in oil & gas, realty, select banking stocks while buying seen in telecom, metal and select power stocks. The breadth remained weak. The Jan nifty future slipped into 7 points discount
