The Sensex ended at 17,554 down 30 points after trading in a very narrow range of 17,639 – 17,529.On the NSE, Nifty was down moderately by 7 points to close at 5,253 after trading in the range of 5,271 – 5,245. We can see lot of consolidation happening in the markets and It, Metal, Banking and Reality sectors ended relatively flat . The Smallcap and Midcap indices were up by 0.40% and 0.30% respectively. The breadth remained positive and the total turnover recorded was 71854Cr. Nifty Future ended with 2.2 points premium.
