The markets ended in red on account of weak global cues. All major sectoral
indices witnessed huge selling pressure. The Sensex closed at 17,6714 down 256 points after trading in the range of 17,960-17,679. Nifty shut at 5,304 down 70 point after trading in the range of 5,383- 5,290. The Small cap and Mid-cap indices were down by 0.34% and 0.35% respectively. The breadth of the market was negative and the turnover was recorded at Rs 94593cr.
