The Sensex closed at 16,772 up 343 points while Nifty shut at 5,017 up 95 point after trading in the range of 5,029 - 4,922 . The Small cap and Mid cap indices were also up by 2.42% and 2.30% respectively. The breadth continued to remain positive and the markets turnover recorded at Rs 89,572 Cr.
