U.S. stocks edged lower in a low-volume session on Tuesday, breaking a
six-day string of gains as investors found little reason to push stocks higher as the year's end approached. Whereas today Asian stocks fell for the first time in three days as Japan Airlines Corp. and Asiana Airlines Inc. plunged on debt concerns and gold producers declined after prices of the metal retreated.
