The Sensex ends at 17-month high on huge buying witnessed in banking stocks. The Sensex rose 127 points to 17,322, its highest close since 16 May last year. The Nifty gained 33 points to close at 5,142. Buying was seen in realty and banking stocks rose while auto and metal stocks declined in today’s trade. The breadth was positive and the total traded turnover was at Rs 81,371 cr.
