Markets continued their positive momentum for the third consecutive day on the back of huge buying seen in Sensex heavyweight Reliance Ind which closed at Rs 1024 up 4.2%. The Sensex closed at 17,000 up 227 points or 1.36% and Nifty shut at 5,088 up 71 points or 1.42%. However, the Nifty March future ended at 5 points discount. Buying was seen across all sectors. The breadth remained strong and the markets reported total turnover of Rs 87,927 cr.
