The markets opened firm and traded strong lead by buying in heavy stocks and ended on a strong note above 6000 level.
All the major sectoral indices ended on a strong note FMCG, Realty and Auto counters being the highest gainers. The Sensex closed at 20,045 up 184 points and the Nifty was at 6,018 up 59 points after making an intra-day high of 6,029.
