15th Nationwide Education and Scholarship test will be conducted for the year 2016 in month of January 2016.
Eligibility Criteria for NEST Scholarship 2016
NEST-I: The First and Second Year Degree students of Engineering/MBBS/BAMS/BHMS/BUMS/BDS/12th (Science), BCA and BSC (all)/Diploma Engg (only Final Year)
NEST-II: Third and Fourth Year Degree: Engineering/MBBS/BAMS/BHMS/BUMS/BDS/BCA and BSC (only Computer and IT)
Not Eligible to Participate: Anyone who top the list in a category cannot apply again in the same category
Scholarship Details for NEST Scholarship 2016 :
No.of Scholarships available: 20 or more (10 in each category)
The merit-based scholarship is given on the basis of a two-hour online test of 200 questions
Certification of appreciation shall be awarded to all the candidates who score 40% and above in aggregate of all the five sections in the test
Students from registered colleges are eligible for this scholarship
Scholarship valued :
For NEST-I: 10 or more scholarships of Rs. 30,000/- each with Rs 75,000/- to Rank 1
For NEST-II: 10 or more scholarships of Rs. 40,000/- each with Rs 1,00,000/- to Rank 1
Syllabus for NEST Scholarship 2016
The content, pattern and style of this test is similar to any other tests of objective type with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Fill-in-Blanks and Yes/No type of questions as, for example, in CET, CAT, GATE, GRE, TOEFL, etc. Thus, any books that prepare you for these tests will also help you for NEST
The Test Comprises of Five Sections as Given Below:
i) NEST-I: Physics & Chemistry (Class XI & XII - advanced level) or NEST-II: Technical Aptitude - Choose any One Group* A/B/C - 50 questions; 50 marks
ii) Mathematics OR Biology (Class XI & XII - advanced level) - 50 questions; 50 marks
iii) Verbal Aptitude (English Language) - 50 questions; 50 marks
iv) Logic Thinking (Reasoning): 25 quesitons; 25 marks
v) General Knowledge: 25 questions; 25 marks
ii) Mathematics OR Biology (Class XI & XII - advanced level) - 50 questions; 50 marks
iii) Verbal Aptitude (English Language) - 50 questions; 50 marks
iv) Logic Thinking (Reasoning): 25 quesitons; 25 marks
v) General Knowledge: 25 questions; 25 marks
NEST-II candidates will choose any one group from the following:
A = Com/IT/Elex/Telecom/Elect/Instr.
B = Auto/Aeronaut/Mech/Prod/Bio-tech,
C = Civil/Cons/Arch/Bio-chem.
D = MBBS/BAMS/BHMS/BUMS/BDS
B = Auto/Aeronaut/Mech/Prod/Bio-tech,
C = Civil/Cons/Arch/Bio-chem.
D = MBBS/BAMS/BHMS/BUMS/BDS

Last Date of Submission of Application Form: 30th September 2015
Last Date (with Late Fee of Rs.100/-): 30th November 2015
Last Date (with Late Fee of Rs.200/-): 31st December 2015
Date of Test: 31st January 2016 (Sunday)
