More than 95000 students of CAT have scored ZERO or less. No, I'm not joking ! This is the sad fact.
With an overall decline in the CAT numbers year on year, CAT 2013 witnessed the lowest number of CAT takers as compared to past years. A total of 1.74 lakh candidates had appeared for CAT 2013.
On January 14 IIMs released a score card which shows that the candidate who did not even answer any of the questions in the CAT 2013 paper, scored around 55 percentile. In other words, if you did not attempt a single question and left the whole answer sheet blank, you were smarter and better than 55 percent of the people who appeared for the exam.
Gautam Puri, Vice President, Career Launcher, believes that a major reason for CAT takers scoring zero or less is their lack of focus on accuracy level .
Looks like your chances of getting into an IIM if you are a bright student are looking really really bright.
