Model and actress Poonam Pandey was reportedly arrested in Mumbai on Friday for allegedly behaving indecently on the streets of the city.
According to reports, the actress who is known for posting her obscene pictures and videos on social networking website Twitter, was in skimpy clothes with a male friend and indulged in inappropriate behaviour at Mira Road in Mumbai. Poonam was later released by the cops with a warning.
However, Poonam Pandey has a different story to tell. The bold actress claims that she was just listening to songs in the car parked on the road. However, the cops at Mira Road police station have a different story to tell. On conditions of anonymity, a cop from the station confirmed, We had to let her go after giving her a warning. It was a public place and she was indulging in some kind of indecent activity with a man. We got a call from the people in the building in the area and had to intervene. We proceeded according to the Bombay Police Act and did our job. We don't care if she is a celebrity or not.
Poonam further refuted and said, It was all drama done by the cops. They made me sign some papers and took me to the station and detained me for some time. And now they can't tell that I was wearing something indecent (As reports claimed). I was wearing a normal one piece with a jacket. How will I indulge in indecent activities with my brother? However, the actress is not willing to take any legal actions against the incident. I don't want to be in anymore controversies, she said. Poonam Pandey rose to media spotlight after she was featured in Kingfisher Calendar 2012 and later promised to strip for the Indian cricket team if it won the Cricket World Cup in 2011.
Poonam also posed naked after Kolkata Knight Riders won the IPL 5. She was last seen in the film ‘Nasha’ in 2013.
