MNP is implemented in different ways across the globe. Mobile number porting, or mobile number portability, allows you to transfer your existing mobile phone number from one mobile phone network provider to another mobile phone provider so that if you change mobile phone networks you do not have to give everyone a new number.

Well Mobile Number Portability is absolutely an added advantage today but some providers take a long time to help us out with it. Thankfully, things are changing now and network providers are understanding the need of the hour which is a good thing.
