Criteria: Usage, Quality, Price etc

It consists of: Merchandise Classes, Sub-classes, Groups, Assortment factors (SKU)

ASSORTMENT DIMENSION

Wide and Shallow

The assortment dimension at GLOBUS is of Wide and shallow type as it offers one stop shop, there is freedom of selection in different items. The assortment type at the women segment is very large but there are not many number of the same assortment which makes the merchandise assortment wide and shallow there. This may also sometime lead the customer overloaded with the information and may hinder their selection process.

There is wide category in the women’s segment like Apparels, Jewelleries, Belts, and Purses, Hats but not many number of the same category. For example there were less number of belts and purses although there were many categories.
