The event is a real-time virtual stock trading game comprising of two rounds. Participants may form a team of maximum two members (comprising of students from the same college) if they wish to compete.
Round1:
The first round is an online round based on real-time fluctuations of the NSE with all the trading ingredients of a cash market segment such as Intra-day trade, Delivery trade, Margin trading etc.It is as close to real trading as possible.
Every team will be provided with a million rupees virtual money at the start of the event and the teams have to maximize their portfolio value. At the end of the event the teams will be shortlisted on the basis of the portfolio value.
The top ten teams will be selected and invited to SIMSR for the second round.
Round 2:
The second round is extremely innovative and fun mock stock game that will make the participants think on their feet. This round will be more unpredictable than the stock market itself!
Key Points:
A card based trading game requiring high analytical skills.
The news contained in the cards drawn out might make you a millionaire or a pauper.
Small trading windows of ten minutes per team that will require participants to take quick decisions.
Random events that will wash out all the pre conceived plans!!
RULES:
Team should consist of at most 2 members.
All the members of a team should belong to the same college.
There can be multiple entries from the same B-School.
One person cannot be the member of more than one team.
10 teams will be selected for Round 2 to be held on campus.
Details of Round 2 will be provided after declaration of Round 1 results.

Winner: Rs. 10000
Runners up: Rs. 5000
All the participants of the teams selected for the second round will get certificates of participation.

registration start date: 31st January, 2012, 23:59 hrs.
Registration end date: 5th February, 2012, 23:59 hrs.
Online Round (Round 1) : 6th February, 2012
Round 1 result: 11th February 2012, 23:59
Campus round: 18th February, 2012
