Why does a company hire an MBA even that work can also be handle by a graduate passed candidate after providing training and can offer low salary package.
 
Because of Indian Unemployment... and they know this very well that the can hire any dog :P for their job in just less money... Example- Bank Vacancy why B-tech M-tech Students Applying......


Why does a company hire an MBA even that work can also be handle by a graduate passed candidate after providing training and can offer low salary package.
 
I think there is a pretty good reason behind that. Here are some of those
1. Brand equity: When a company hires an MBA from a premiere B school,it gets a person who is already time tested, has given many hard examinations like the entrance tests etc, has a fair overview of the whole business domain, has knowledge that would come handy where common sense is just not enough etc and hence the candidate is "Corporate ready"
2. Networking: When a student passes out after completing the course, he does so with his/her entire batch. When he/she climbs up the corporate ladder, his/her entire batch will also be at more or less heavy positions. This helps in networking and getting the work done in many cases. :)

Company needs manager who has holistic view about business. Graduates need training to get knowledge about the business.

Many MBA graduates do their MBA after some work ex so this will the edge to understand business Nitti gritty, also graduates especially engineering graduates don’t have knowledge about finance and MBA’s read about finance during their course and as u know everything related to business start with money only………
 
Hi Shweta, I must say, this is really interesting topic to discuss. As per my knowledge, graduates are those who have partial knowledge about the products or services that are to be offered. But, Post graduates are those who gains complete knowledge and experience of field in their projects and other related things. Thus, a company always search those people who are already explored to outer world rather.
 
Hi Sai....as u said that post graduate candidates have the full knowledge...but if give just only 3 months of training to a graduate passed student...then he can handle my office work and even on low salary package then why do i appoint an MBA passed student for that with a high salary package....
 
Its right that organization can use graduates for doing office work but when it comes to decision making it is very necessary to have complete knowledge abt the field u r working in.
If graduates are allowed to take decision without having complete knowledge about the subject than it might lead to chaos. As u observe in senior management people having graduation degree but ample amt of experience are allowed to make decision. But a guy having MBA degree can move into management team in shorter span of time because he can see issue from wider perspective.:SugarwareZ-141:
