Re: Mauritius UNI: Full-time MBA Edinburgh Business School

Full-time MBA

The Edinburgh Business School MBA programme can be studied on campus at the Business School over a 12-month period. The full-time MBA has the same content and structure as the other study modes of the MBA programme, i.e. there are seven compulsory courses and students must then choose two electives.

Students will be supplied with a complete set of learning materials for each course and will also be expected to attend an on-campus teaching session (per course) with faculty.

Normally, the teaching sessions consist of:

* A4-day intensive seminar with School faculty. Students come to class having already studied the course using the printed and online materials; the faculty member then adds value through the use of simulations, case studies and class discussions.
* A2-day exam revision session for each compulsory course.

Admission

Admission to the full-time MBA is by application and acceptance. You are expected to have:

* A recognised first- or second-class honours degree, or a qualification deemed to be equivalent, or passes in three of the MBA courses (one of which must be core).
* A minimum of 2 years' post-qualifying full-time work experience of a relevant nature.
* Evidence of competence in English language in the form of an IELTS/TOEFL score.

Fees

Fees for the full-time MBA are £14,000 in total. This excludes accommodation and may be subject to change without notice.

Re: Mauritius UNI:EMBA Edinburgh Business School

Executive MBA

This part-time pathway to the MBA combines the flexibility and choice of self-managed distance learning with the opportunity to attend a series of on-campus intensive seminars spread over 2 years.

There are nine long weekends (Thursday to Sunday) spent at the state-of-the-art teaching facilities on the Edinburgh campus, plus intensive 2-day refresher courses in each subject prior to examinations.

These 4- and 2-day sessions are separate from those offered to self-study or MSc students; they enable students to develop a cohort approach and ensure that their studies are contextualised to their specific needs.

* A structured programme, covering the MBA through part-time study in only 2 years.
* Proven content and top-class faculty.
* A cohort-based approach to encourage networking during and after study.
* Access to the global community of other Edinburgh Business School MBA alumni and students.

Cohorts of executives from major corporations have attended the highly regarded part-time 'consortium' programme that forms the model for our Executive MBA programme. These include: Agilent Technologies, Dawson International, Ernst & Young (Italy), Hewlett-Packard, Lloyds TSB, Pearson Education, the NHS, Scottish Widows and Scottish Power.
