* With seasonal variations removed from the data, the Net Employment Outlook of +39%, India’s employers report the most optimistic forecast among all 36 countries and territories participating in the survey. India’s Outlook has improved by 4 and 16 percentage points quarter-over-quarter and year-over-year, respectively.

* Employers in all seven industry sectors and all four regions surveyed report stronger Outlooks when compared to 2Q 2009.

* Hiring optimism is strongest among employers in the Services (+48%) industry sector. The sector Outlook is unchanged quarter-over-quarter and is 22 percentage points stronger year-over-year.

* According to Manpower India, as new telecom firms enter the India market, salaries and bonuses among existing sub-sector employees is likely to spike by as much as 30 percent as demand for their talents increases.

* The weakest hiring pace in India is reported by employers in the Transportation & Utilities (+28%) industry sector, although the Outlook still improves by 3 and 4 percentage points quarter-over-quarter and year-over-year, respectively.

* Employers in the East (+42%) region report the country’s strongest hiring expectations. The Outlook is 1 and 15 percentage points stronger quarter-over-quarter and year-over-year, respectively.

* Employers in the North (+37%) region report the country’s weakest hiring intentions. The Outlook is 5 percentage points weaker quarter-over-quarter, but 15 percentage points stronger when compared to 2Q 2009.
