50% of the Politicians that stood for elections have a criminal background. 40% of them have no source of agreeable education. when a common man has to get a govt job he has to show a plethora of degrees to get into IAS AND IPS or any stupid clerical post. why not we pass a legislation saying that only individuals with a masters honours degree in political science and sociology can stand for election...also they have to show relevant volunteer work in an NGO too ....We have to make some noise on this guys... we are the future.. we can choose how we want to live and how we wish to elect our representatives. we can make changes in the constitution...

I believe INDIA will be a economic/social/military super power in a matter of a few short years if all the politicians were atleast college educated..instead we have 3rd std fail and goondas and scum like that representing us...

cmon guys make a noise.... choose ur future..choose ur life... choose the perception that the world should have of india...make a difference!!!!!!

well...but dude..how much aprt of india is covered in rural area.....do u hav nay idea?.....n ppl having masters degree shuld be reprsting tht constituency.....so whr r u goin to find such ppl....in rural part...thr r 543 constituencies in india.......out of which hardly 50 -60 represnt urban ......n even an illiterate person.....can do well....thrs no need of education ...unless character is clear....

well we can get educated people from other parts of the country to help out in those constituencies.. it is imperative to have learned individuals at the helm of the society. u can say if a person has a good heart he can do lots of good. well we need development .. which requires learned politicians who have a forethought for the impending future. if you think about development you have to choose the right people to work in the right places...to choose the right people you need to the ability to choose the right candidate. to do so u need to be literate enough to understand complicated stuff. eg- take a low political level contender like a municipal officer who is elected by the people. he has to know how the expansion of a city will affect residential areas/water supplies/pollution levels/traffic problems....a town planning officer will do a scaled report and the municipal officer okays it. imagine a 3rd std pass deciding on such a matter. result...present condition of various metros in india..unplanned development and an utter mess which will take years of litigation and new laws to undo....

Firstly to get into the Politics there should be candidates who are willing to do so to clean these "gutters" cause there is so much corruption that it has to be cleaned to restructure the system.
But nobody wants to do it since everyone wants to become a doctor, engineer, MBA, etc....
