List of Courses in Rajasthan Technical University, Kota
Rajasthan Technical University shortly called as RTU came into existence in the year 2006 and it is public university established by the Government of Rajasthan. The university was previously acting as a college in the name of Engineering College, Kota. The university offers education in the faculties like management, science and technology and different departments like humanities & English, mathematics, chemistry, physics, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering and electronics & communication engineering are functioning under the University for offering technical education. More than 200 colleges in the state of Rajasthan are offering technical education with affiliation from the Rajasthan Technical University and most of these colleges offer B. Tech, MBA and MCA courses.
Nearly one lakh students are getting education through the colleges affiliated to the university and not only candidates belonging to the state of Rajasthan, but also students belonging to other states are getting quality education from these colleges. The university offers Bachelor of Technology and Master of Technology courses in different subjects in addition to the Master of Business Administration, Master of Computer Applications and Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology courses. The university not only offers M. Tech courses in full-time manner, but some of the subjects are offered in part-time basis as well. Admission of students to the different colleges affiliated to the university is done based on the marks secured by the students in the Rajasthan Pre-Engineering Test conducted by the Rajasthan Board of Technical Education, while admission to the MBA course in different colleges working under RTU is done based on Rajasthan Management Aptitude Test. For MCA course, it is done based on Rajasthan MCA Admission Test and these examinations are conducted annually for admission of students to the different colleges offering these professional courses in the state of Rajasthan.
As mentioned earlier, more than 200 technical colleges are affiliated to the Rajasthan Technical University and out of these colleges, three colleges are presently offering hotel management & catering technology course, eight colleges are offering M. Tech courses, 142 colleges are offering MBA course, 35 colleges are offering MCA course, while nearly 135 colleges are offering Engineering courses. Thus, Rajasthan Technical University works towards the development of technical education in the state of Rajasthan.
