"Apprehension has a method for constraining your choices," entertainer Charlie Pickering says of his troublesome choice to leave The Project following five years, in spite of having his first youngster in transit.

"I think overlooking trepidation, or putting apprehension to the other side and saying: 'Great, on the off chance that I wasn't frightened, what might I do?' I believe there's really shrewdness in that," Pickering told News Corp Australia.

Pickering had been unfulfilled at The Project for some time, feeling like he'd been pushed into the part of newsreader as opposed to entertainer, in spite of their unique vision for the show. While there was security in the information Channel 10 would joyfully keep him on for one more decade, a bothering voice in the back of his brain continued asking how he'd feel thinking back, pondering what else he could have done over that time?

Thus he spoiled his strength and escaped a year ago to in this way set up his antipodean tackle The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. We're sitting in ABC Productions' workplaces in Elsternwick, tasting espresso out of waterglasses. The main mug in the spot is presently being used as the milk container. "This will help you report back to News Corp how we're not squandering citizens' cash on extravagant workplaces," Pickering says with a smile.
