I am not a master's level student yet.
However, I want to have my say on your question.
From my (brief) experience I have found out that every degree is valuable and has it's own benefits and drawbacks. So, it's really a matter of personal choice whether to go for which. Also the degree in itself holds nothing. It is ultimately you who is responsible to reap good rewards from your degree. If you aren't able then it's your fault.
For example, a first line manager and CEO doesn't have much difference in educational qualification or subject in which they majored. What's different is the vision, hard work, willingness to achieve something great (ambition) and so on.
Therefore, here's my suggestions: try to make best out of what you already have or whatever you get in your life.
