Laptops by schools

Many middle schools, high schools, and even some universities have began issuing laptops to students, particularly if they do not have the means to access them on their own. This is seen as a way to connect students with the Internet and the learning potential there. Others do not believe that it is a worthwhile endeavor, and that laptops in school can be a distraction, as students may browse on Facebook, instead of pay attention to teachers.

Do you think students should be given laptops by their schools?

In a country like India, providing laptops to students who are unable to afford it for themselves would be a much-needed aid.
