National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) announces the dates of its annual flagship event 'Lakshya'. The ninth edition of the widely-awaited event shall be held from 17th to 19th of October 2008.
The Lakshya On-the-Job Achievers' Contest provides a platform for the practicing managers to showcase their talent and competence by presenting new-fangled projects they have undertaken in their respective organizations before an eminent jury from illustrious organizations. Inspired with the over-whelming corporate interest in the On-the-Job Achievers' Contest, the ninth edition shall see following sectors: -

Financial Management
The Lakshya On-the-Job Achievers' Contest is recognized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) as one-of-its-kind in the country.
Lakshya 2007
The previous edition of Lakshya held from 12th to 14th October 2007 witnessed corporate, student and media interest like never before. The who's who of the corporate world descended on the scenic NITIE campus to participate and witness the knowledge endeavor unfold.
In the previous edition, projects from organizations like GE Money, JnJ, BOSCH, ICICI Bank, M&M, DuPont, Marico, L'Oreal, BASF, HPCL, BPCL, Deloitte, L&T, 3i Infotech, Dr. Reddy's Labs, Patni Computers, Godrej Industries, were shortlisted for presentation to an eminent jury comprising of top management of reputed organizations like Lehman Brothers, GE Money, P&G, KPMG, HLL, Castrol, SAP, Infosys, Intel Technologies, ITC Ltd., E&Y, Accenture, Wipro, Dabur, GSK Pharma, Cognizant, Cypress, ONGC, Bharti, Kingfisher Airlines, to name a few.
Another highlight of the 3-day mega-event is the felicitation of business legends like Mr. Rahul Bajaj, Mr. R. P. Goenka, Mr. Ratan Tata, Mr. Azim Premji, Mr. Keshub Mahindra, Mr. Y. C.
