MBA is necessary if you want to start your job with a good salary. For a good salary, you will need a good institute and for a good institute, you will have to prove yourself in GD / PI and entrance exam.
Or else you can start with a management trainee position and get promoted in natural progression. If you are smart, you shall progress to better level's than an MBA within 5 years of your career.
