The former Bills quarterback has made his fight public after some encouragement from his family, who realized the type of impact he could have on those around him. On Saturday, Kelly was able to be in Canton, Ohio, to watch Andre Reed get inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Kelly will be an honorary captain when the Bills take on the Giants in the Hall of Fame Game, and "Outside the Lines" aired a special on the former Bills quarterback leading up to the game. Kelly said he's been trying to live his life as he normally would in recent months.
"I'm kind of beating this," Kelly said. "That's why I continue to do things I love and I enjoy."
