...bcoz of the fight between the administration and the pilots, many of the travellers had to suffer. Many had important business appointments and obviously oders had imp wrk too.....n they had to face so many prblms or totally change the plans bcoz of this strike. The pilot's union justifies this move...bt wher do the affected consumers go nw?? will this circle of turmoil keep goin on and on in this idustry.. or wil the avaition minister interfere????? please give your views abt this topic.. and any possible solutions dat u wud like to advice...... :)

It is not justified. Look at the average salary of pilots vis other employees...further the comforts they get..it is bad that we are allowing them to strike..we should invoce ESMA on them and take a bond that they would never strike in this way in future or else they would be terminated.

bonds have always been signed....and the reason for them doin sucha thing is dat 3 pilots were sacked b4......so they do the same stuff dat the pilots did to get sacked n justify thier actions.... strange!!!

I think issue of jet airways is a big cause of trouble for the passengers. If we take side of pilots i think their demands are also not right its a time when companies have just started recovering from the recession its hard for any company to raise salaries specially when companies major objective is to cut costs by anyways. Few days past i seen in news that airlines companies were demanding for bailout and its not possible to accept demands of pilots at present.
If we consider the consumers its a big problems as its having direct impact on passengers specially to tourists and people who are having urgent works etc. Its not a right step taken by pilots.
Overall ultimate sufferers of dispute between jet airways and pilots are the passengers and i think this strike should be called off as early as possible it will be good for company and passengers.

Actually, now a days White-collar can are forming the union, but it is not legal. They have declared strike out, without giving any notice to Labor Court. It could have gone in their against. So, their labor lawyer suggest them to go on sick leave. As per me, this is a disgusting thing that ever educated people have done. If these people will do such bad acts, which affect consumers badly, then what we can expect from blue collar worker.

What's worrying is that the reason - the sacking of the two pilots - is something that any company should have the right to. If the two were indeed forming a union, the possibility is that they violated some guideline at Jet - it's not legally permissible for any company to prevent its employees from forming a union in India, is it? And Jet needs to get closure on this issue - they cannot have the same issue (striking workers and cancelled flights) cropping up every few weeks.

wel nw the question that arises is dat what are the passengers to do......jet airways has been taking cancellation charges from such passengers whose flights are getting cancelled.....does a passenger union come up for airlines too???
