Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies proudly presents its Annual Inter B-School and Corporate Event ‘Prayaag’ scheduled from 29th to 31st Oct. 2010[/b].
Prayaag is a confluence where ideas and perspective are shared by the leaders from the industry and the students across various b-schools.
It is one of the most awaited events across b-schools in India, scaling new heights every year where events get tougher and competition gets harder. The numerous events held at Prayaag challenges one’s potential and engages one in thought provoking scenarios testing one’s ability to find solutions to real world problems.
Prayaag’10 looks forward to launching very innovative and insightful events this season, a few of them being: Best Business Brain, Simulation games in strategy and finance, Paper Presentation Competition, Marketing Plan Competition, Case Study Competition, Finance events like M&A, along with many On-the Spot events like KwizKraft, Advertising- AD Mad, The Village-Commodities Trading, and Arbit Presentation.
Theme for Prayaag’10 – ‘Indian Dynasties’[/b]
Great dynasties like Mauryas and Marathas have ruled India. They faced lots of economic ups and downs but each time they came up stronger. It would surely be a challenge for the budding managers of this era to use their Managerial skills and Business acumen to solve the similar problems faced by Business houses or the dynasties currently in India like the Tatas, Birlas, Reliance, etc. Prayaag‘10 offers a platform for the best brains in the country to come up with solutions for the problems faced by the industry now-a-days and pay a tribute to the great dynasties that ruled India.

A glimpse of Prayaag ’09[/b]
Prayaag’09, the annual inter B-school and corporate festival of Jamnalal Bajaj, conducted in association with Union Bank of India[/b], was held on the 23rd, 24th and 25th of October 2009 and the Chief Guest for the inauguration ceremony was Mr. Prahlad Kakkar. It saw participation from 2000 B-school students and 200 Corporate houses. Prizes worth over Rs. 15 lakh were awarded to the winners.
Prayaag’09 revolves around the theme “Mine your Fortune”[/b], highlighting the importance of facing and overcoming the challenges and hurdles and eventually succeeding in these global times.
The fortunes of Prayaag were open to the students and corporate across India. Numerous teams from the best B-schools like IIMs, XLRI, SP Jain, NITIE, IITs, FMS arrived to be a part of this event. The event witnessed participation from corporates like Accenture, Johnson and Johnson, TCS, Nomura Holdings, Standard Chartered, Bank of America, Colgate Palmolive and many more.
It launched some very innovative and insightful events, a few of them being, From Dealers to Leaders[/b] - a test of one’s risk appetite and decision making abilities, Fund of Funds[/b] - an online simulation of real life trading, Jewelhouse Rock[/b] - the theme treasure hunt event, Search for the Emerald[/b]- Marketing plan, The Road to El Dorado[/b] - Search for the best business brain, The Village[/b] - glimpse into commodity trading, Talk the Walk[/b] - exploring viral marketing etc. and of course, the Prayaag signature event, Kwizkraft[/b]. Kwizkraft through all these years has been a great crowd puller given its mega scale and high level of competition between corporate and students. This year it is being held at the Akashwani auditorium, within a stone’s throw of the JBIMS campus and as per the Prayaag tradition, this event is being hosted by Mr. Dhananjay Shettigar of QuizMonks[/b].
