After the japan crisis is our government thinking in terms of safety of our country or is it just a political drill???

After any natural disaster, we tend to focus on the heroic human stories of rising from rubble, and leave behind the past. I wonder when are we going to learn from the past to design a better future for ourselves. Seismologists may be the biggest fault finders in the world, but our economists may be the biggest faulters.
