Dear All
I think today's education system is inclined or focused towards creating employees instead of employers.
A simple example is Delhi university Education system the seats in B.A , B.COM ... etc is more than Vocational courses being offered .
Even in private colleges and universities there are very few who teaches subjects like Entrepreneurship and those who do it is limited to classes , nothing like small start-up within campus , small funding
Most colleges & institues are focusing on getting there students placed in companies rather than encouraging them to be self-employed , once get into job employer makes sure he should pay you on a hand to mouth basis and keeps you busy in work by extra hours in office .
I am a passed out from FDDI, Noida , have done a UG prog. from there ,even after showing interest in studying entrepreneurship and to start -up no support was provided from either faculty , college or classmates instead was termed as a Day dreamer .
I have also noticed major percentage of students in india are not even interested in Start-up , Entrepreneurship etc , they just want a good salary at the end of the month - to continue there high spending life style like Movies on the weekend , eating out etc etc , shopping etc etc .
Todays employer is also smart they limit the employee options by paying a hand to mouth salary , long working hours and a pink slip always hanging in your neck.
Financing schemes for entrepreneurs in india is not even good because Govt. Officials ask for straight commission of at least 10% of total loan before loan is sanctioned .
After 3 year of turmoil in college spending 4lakhs on tution fee , i am doing a merchandising job for just 20k a month , which makes my life hell .
I am trying my best to leave a job and start-up something of my own and will keep trying
God bless all
