Is Mozilla making a huge mistake by breaking add-ons so badly on Firefox 4?

Its a beautiful browser window, but when Mozilla released its new version of Firefox add-ons break. Its routine, nobody is overly worked up about it by now.

The Mozilla add-ons site is littered with yesteryear's great extensions, including such crowd pleasers as Hit-a-Hint which has not been updated since 2007.

But with Firefox 4, something has changed: Mozilla has made bold, significant, lasting changes that may drastically impact the amount of work the average coder needs to put into their extension to make it compatible with Firefox again.

time had came for a change. it was quite sometime that there was any major changes in gui of firefox. opera has changed and chrome is quite new for a gui change.
with the release of firefox 4, most of popular will be updated sooner or later as seen in previous major releases of firefox.

also with firefox 4, firefox will be faster because of it new html parser. there are 2 very nice features in firefox 4 b4, sync and Panorama.
