Everything comes with a catch... somehow having a 100% profit is not possible. I think in today's times, media has become a very strong weapon to counter corruption. A lot of examples can be seen in day-today... and some issues like Mattoo case would not have been successful, had they been not exposed so much, like media did. Hence, media has the power to become the voice of the common, which otherwise gets subdued easily.
Sting operation, were given birth by media , have become the strongest tool to unearth corruption. Again the catch comes, the media starts to do moral policing too and hence, a lot of things get biased within the media too. News whatever price it comes, need to be taken. There is no privacy left (consider the Shakti Kapoor case, in which i feel media had no right to interfere in one's private life)
This media, the greed to get the *hot news* has made it cross some boundaries too. I feel, media should realise what are its limits and not cross them. Media can be a very effective tool, as long as it realizes its boundaries and does not do the job of moral policing (a mere one or two lines can regd a sensational news, more like media's opinion, can cause a lot of harm to a particular case)
