Is love restricted by pre-defined societal norms like age?

Love, as they say, is blind. Then why does a relationship between an older woman-younger man, or a vast age difference, receive more than its fair share of attention, most of it being negative? The film “Nishabd” portrays a relationship between a 60 year old man and an 18 year old girl. The relationship would’ve worked if the age difference wasn’t so large, but in this case, it faces barriers and hindrances peculiar to unconventional relationships. In today’s world are we still restricted to defining love by the laws of society? Is this restriction justified?

love is a feeling tht comes from within..Love just happens. Falling in love is not in one's control.do u ask the person's age b4 fallin in luv...??i knw tht a big age diff. could cause problems in a relation[bcoz of diff. levels of maturity,both physically and mentally] in a long term at times..but love is a medicine which can heal any kinda problems..
i got wonderful ex. of my own relative....10 YEARS AGE DIFF.;LOVE MARRIAGE;LIVIN HAPPILY..... I feel it is perfect to fall in love at any age as long you understand one another.

I have som different opinion...I also believe love is natural,,,and when it happens a person doesnt considers the age difference. but if a person really wants to be happy he must find the right person. for eg..if a girl is 20 yrs the boy must be atleast 3-4 yrs elder to her..but we also hv examples like kareena kapoor and shahid khan who hv 1 yr difference but still they hv good compatibility with each other..1 yr ka difference theek hai but when gal is elder to boy more than 3-5 yrs then it creates lot of problems..bcos in such case the boy wont keep the gal satisfied..mentally and physically...as he is not tht matured..

Yup ....1 year diff is ok....my gf is 1 yr elder...And i dont even feel that 1 yr diff....its really about having a good compatibility with each other....

Age dosent mattr yaar. It just happens. U will see that more than half of the time people realise abt the age after falling in love. We dont ask people "how old are u? so that can i love u. if u r elder tham me than i will look for other gal....."
