If you are dreaming about a career in Film making certainly it’s a good idea.

Film making is one of the most creative area which most of the individuals resort to.

But this is an area where in one should only enter in to if they have the relative desire and attitude for the same.

If one desires to have a career in this area one should always have a general idea about the various needs and qualities that one need to possess to enter in to this field and emerge successful also. The first and foremost thing is that one needs to have all together a different idea about the story or the subject whichone needs to build on a film. The person should possess certain qualities such as creative ideas, patience, dedication, focus, sensitivity, commitment etc. Films are one of the most important and creative mediums that are useful in communicating certain ideas. It is one of the medium of communication. The Films are a combination of the creative ideas as well as the core technical features which are included in it. This is one of the most important areas where in different universal art forms are communicated which typically depicts the various forms and the relative differences in the culture.

Film making is really a tedious and time consuming task. It’s a usual scenario that this is perhaps one of the most important profession where in the individuals spend in long time in researching and deciding about the potential subjects which they need to make in to films. The most predominant aspect of this profession is that the film making is really a whole lot of team contribution that is involved in it. The film maker or the director is probably the leader who takes in the job in the correct direction. Film making is definitely a detailed process where it involves acting, producing, scrip writing, cinematography, music etc involved in it. The film maker is involved in all the areas of film making in one way or the other and needs to ensure that all the areas of film making are going on properly or not.

When we observe in general the film industry on a whole the number of films which is being released in India in all languages is comparatively high when compared to other nations. Hence the scope of this area as a career is going to bring in great career prospects. The individual has the real creative idea along with the necessary technical know-how regarding the film making he can emerge successful in this field. The individuals need to have the real artistic talent in them to express their ideas in a good manner which is more appealing and entertaining to the general public.

The individuals who want in to enter the specific fields that are technical a 12th class is sufficient but on the other hand a graduate degree is essential for the other type courses.

The individuals are assessed that whether they possess the relative skills and aptitude that are needed in this area of film making. There are various short term courses like diploma courses or certification courses which will be in specific areas such as direction, editing, sound recording, acting etc.



 
Why personal attributes?

The individuals who want to build in a successful career in the field of film making needs to have in them certain personal skills in them to prove their caliber in this field. Artistic talents being the most important criteria or skill to enter in to this field. Mere technical knowledge regarding the various aspects of film making will not make them eligible to do their work successfully. Even though technical know how is essential but on the other hand the individuals need to have a practical experience in this area also. This they will be learn during the film making course where in the practical assignments along with the theoretical aspects will also be given exposure in to.

Apart from these, the individuals should also have relative skills such as creativity, sense of responsibility, commitment, co operation, visual sense, leadership skills etc. The individuals should have the strong ability to bring out the various talents of others also in the best possible manner. The individuals should also be having good managerial skills also.
 
Sometimes it is more about passion, but to succeed at the desired level one has to be technically good enough to go ahead to do well with the standards of film making. The question "Is Film Making a Good Profession?" is an absolutely mistake since the standards of film making and technicalities involved are more above the par level than it used to be. One who desires to make it good would definitely try to improve his/her efficiency in the technology involved.

I have a close friend of mine who is currently doing his Post Graduation in this field even when he had settled for a good job in a private television company after UG. I should say that it is his passion and the need to improve himself in the field in various aspects.
 
Film makin is a true respectable field where u cud easily enter your thoughts into the minds of your targeted audience........yes, as every field it has it's own disadvantage, but if it is in d hands of a correct person wid gud morals-it wil b a nice tool 2 uplift d whole society.............
 
I think it is a respectable profession and can think to own a better future in film making industry. But you must be really skilled and talented, you require to have the capability to be effective with work deadlines, you have to be a people administrator, and you need to find out how the politics of the film industry functions.
